When Old Man Winter plants his feet firmly in Russells Point, Ohio in mid-January, Kaci King and company at West Ohio Tool might be forgiven for their anticipatory smiles as they prepare to swap the mid-west icebox for the warmer clime of Las Vegas and SHOT Show 2023.
The annual Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade Show will bring tens of thousands of shooting, hunting, military and outdoor trade industry representatives to Las Vegas Jan. 17-20 to the largest trade show of its kind in the world, and West Ohio Tool is ready to put its custom tooling versatility front and center in two booths for the company’s first-ever trade show outing.
West Ohio Tool will feature its full-company portfolio of carbide and polycrystalline diamond (PCD) custom drills, reamers, mills, end mills, grooving, and internal forming tool offerings in booth 51531. The company’s full portfolio of ground-breaking EdgeX4 tools that includes the line’s Helix, Straight, Full Nib and Ball Nose variants will be on display in booth 51532. Both displays will be located in the SHOT Supplier Showcase, Jan. 16-17, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the Venetian 5th Floor Palazzo Ballroom.
King said she hopes to expand the company’s horizons by highlighting West Ohio Tool’s extensive experience drilling and machining a wide variety of materials from steel and aluminum used in large-caliber gun barrels and AR rifle components such as lower receivers to composites for the defense and aerospace industries. By focusing the company’s exhibit on sector-spanning material-machining capability, King hopes to expose West Ohio Tool’s custom tooling to a larger spectrum of industries for future growth.
The company has built a reputation for excellence, innovation and customer satisfaction over the past three decades by providing, unique, custom cost-saving solutions to A-list clients with deliveries that are up to 75% quicker than industry standards.
“We have a lot of value to offer,” King said, “and we’d like to be a bigger player in the cutting tool arena. When a customer thinks of custom cutting tools, we want them to think of West Ohio Tool.”
