Results Driven. Community Engaged.
West Ohio Tool is and always has been a family business – and we continue to put family first. That’s why we’re doing our part to help families here in Logan County, Ohio. Because we understand the hard work and sacrifices that families make to put food on the table, and the hard times that lead to food insecurity.

Hunger in America
More than 34 million people, including 9 million children, experience food insecurity every day. That means they lack enough food to lead a healthy, active life. In 2022, 49 million people turned to food banks for help in feeding themselves and their families. This crisis affects every county in the U.S.
We do our part
No family should go hungry. We’ve partnered with Feeding America, a national organization that serves one in every seven Americans through 200 food banks, 60,000 food pantries and meal programs across the country, including here in Logan County. West Ohio Tool donates 10 meals to Feeding America for every manufactured part number we ship. We also volunteer with local food banks and other community initiatives – and we pay every employee for up to two calendar days of volunteer time annually.
Our company’s founders, Kerry and Kim Buchenroth, faced some lean times as they grew this company from a part-time, one-room sharpening business into a high-tech manufacturer of leading industrial tools. They made sure their children never went hungry, even if that meant they did themselves. As we help fight food insecurity and engage with our neighbors to make a difference here at home, we remember our roots, share our traditions – and work toward a day when no one goes hungry.
